Cynthia — Irish wooden flute, Irish whistles, alto flute. A multi-instrumentalist with classical roots, Cynthia has lived and made music in New York, Amsterdam, Colorado, India, and places between. Ever intrigued by world music and improvisation, she studied classical Indian music (bamboo flute and kanjira) in India and at Wesleyan University’s World Music Program. It was inevitable that the beauty of the Irish flute would eventually capture her heart. She began playing it in earnest after spending time on the west coast of Ireland with poet and fiddler David Whyte, and owes much to inspirational time spent with Irish flute players Chris Norman, Seamus Egan and Catherine McEvoy, among others. She plays a cocoswood flute made by Pat Olwell.

Gregg — Acoustic guitar, djembé, hand percussion. A lifelong professional musician, Gregg has engaged in many international styles of guitar and percussion as a performer across the country. In recent years, in addition to his performances and recording as part of Peace & Love & Jigs & Reels, Gregg has been a prolific solo recording artist, releasing 3 recordings of captivating finger style guitar in as many years (available on this website and on CD Baby). Those who know Gregg in person are especially drawn to his natural leprechaun smile and talent in inspiring good will and laughter.

Steve — Bodhrán (Irish frame drum) and backup percussion. Steve brought his tasteful, energizing bodhrán playing to the band in 2007. His musical training goes back to an early age and includes a wide range of percussion performances with drum corps, orchestras, jazz bands, contra dance bands, and various Celtic groups. A frequent visitor to Irish traditional sessions across North America, he enjoys collaborating with distinctive solo performers. As a skilled woodworker, Steve makes all of his own tippers and accessories.
